- Highly opaque and flexible vinyl film with a microporous coating. Even unlaminated, outdoor life time up to 12 months if printed on with pigmented ink. Can be laminated right to its edges. Polyacrylate dispersion adhesive on backside. Certified fire-retardant according to DIN 4102-B1 on steel.

Specific feature
PVL-Matt Star B1 is characterised by a brilliant color reproduction and a fast drying process. The special, high-white inkjet coating of this calandered soft PVC-film is water resistantly, very cross-breaking resistant and scratch proof. Prints with many appropriate pigmented inks are suitable for outdoor use of up to 12 month without lamination (recommendation for European climate). Lamination for extra protection is possible flush with the edges. Laminated, a use of up to 18 month is possible. Due to the wide variety of possible uses and applications customers should independently determine the suitability o this material for their specific purpose, prior to use. High ink limits to be voided for optimal adhesion of laminate, drying time of 12 hours assists with he lamination bond. We recommend to let the prints dry for min. 12 hours before exposing to wetness. For optimum printing results, PVL-Matt Star B1 must be calibrated beforehand on the used printers and with the appropriate ink. Good results can be obtained with profiles for "Outdoor Vinyl", already existing in the printer driver and/or RIP. -
Processing
Processing and storage of PVL-Matt Star B1 should take place in a climate from 35 to 65% relative humidity and at a temperature from 10-30°C. It should be stored cool, dry, clean, and dustfree in its original packaging. Wear cotton gloves and handle carefully as surface is susceptible to abrasion and/or fingermarks. We recommand to use a blow-dryer to release the film from substrate. -
